Pigments of Australian Landscape is an abstract work of the colours that appear during the Australian landscape throughout the day. I watch the sun rise every morning and witness the explosion and quick change of colors that appear. Gold, copper, pink, blue, purple and so on. This piece captures the intensity and variety of colours of Australia.

An abstract expressionist work inspired by the Australian landscape, it translates the feeling of place rather than its form. Green as the primarily focus then supporting colors blue, pink, red, gold and white and hints of copper shavings move across the surface in shifting layers, evoking the vegetation, heat, light and emotional intensity of the environment.
Hints of the bush remain only as sensation, not image. Colour becomes the way of understanding Australia’s complexity, where warmth and harshness, clarity and uncertainty sit together.
The work reflects a process of adjustment and discovery, finding balance within unfamiliarity through gesture, colour and light.

Flow and Form explores the architecture of experience through segmented collages. Using diverse materials and layered forms, the work mirrors life’s complexity, a collection of moments, places, and encounters that shape our identity. The canvas is divided into sections reflecting different artistic genres, including expressionism, minimalism, and impressionism, each offering its own rhythm and perspective of the pond, yet coming together to form a unified representation.
The piece also examines flora and fauna as a study of structure, rhythm, and transformation. It captures the shifting character of water, the interplay of light on floating foliage, and the movement of flowers and other natural elements carried by the breeze. Each section marks a distinct moment in time: the changing hue of the water, the sparkle of sunlight across its surface, and the transient beauty of nature.
Through its layered composition: and change in colour from it's counterpart Assemblage No. 1: Flow and Form, Assemblage No. 2 Flow and Form continues to evoke both the serenity and constancy of nature’s rhythms, serving as a gentle reminder to embrace life’s stillness amid movement and to find harmony within change.
Dominque is a part of my ‘Flower and Wine’ series that revisits and reinvents the art genre abstract expressionism. The painting is a mixed media work that is constructed from a combination of acrylic paint, staining the surface with wine and using real flowers varnished onto the surface. The flowers and wine symbolise memorabilia, add texture and explore the experimentation process. My abstracts works investigate psychology and how viewers interpret my work which is manipulated by the viewers' own experiences.

Sunburnt Country was inspired by Bill Bryson’s book “In a Sunburnt Country”, a book describing Australia with facts and dark humour. This organic nature inspired shows balance, the fluid movement and ease of how nature flows. For instance, water flowing in a brook and its flexibility to move around the obstacles.
This piece is apart of my approach to abstract expressionism using alcohol ink. It balances my passion for the intensity of abstract expressionism with its explosive movements combined with the finesse of softer approaches such as the watercolour technique.
There are a variety of options to choose your print. The vinyl is the only material at this time that has the option of ordering the gold leaf addition.

"In a Sunburnt Country" title was inspired by Bill Bryson's book "In a Sunburnt Country". In particular, Victoria has lush foliage and forests that suffer brutal storms and at the same time are ravaged by fearsome fires. One can experience fires and floods with in the same state simultaneously.

Gaia represents how I see Earth with its flora and fauna, vibrant, mysterious and full of colour. The title was selected from Greek mythology though I see the masculinity and femininity of earth, I feel this piece highlights the femininity earth possesses.
