Peace within the Storm balances the light and dark hues. It has the feeling of the ocean and beach adding a bit of sweetness as if you were laying on the beach and sipping on a cocktail, riding the waves or climbing up the cliff watching the waves crash against the rocks.
This piece is apart of my approach to abstract expressionism using alcohol ink. It balances my passion for the intensity of abstract expressionism with its explosive movements combined with the finesse of softer approaches such as the watercolour technique.

The work examines the gradual shift from direct sunlight to the diffuse warmth that spreads across the sky, highlighting the interaction of saturated colour, fading illumination and the changing structure of cloud formations. Through layered surfaces and controlled tonal variation, the assemblage captures the progression from late afternoon brightness to the deeper hues that signal the approaching night. Rather than portraying the sunset as a dramatic event, the composition treats it as a series of observable changes that occur over a short period of time. Each section isolates a specific moment in this transition, emphasising how light softens, colours intensify and the sky reorganises itself into new forms. The work encourages viewers to recognise the sunset as both a visual phenomenon and a daily environmental process shaped by light, atmosphere and time.

This assemblage weaves together impressions of shifting cloud types, from soft morning vapours and the calm sweep of blue skies to sculptural white textures, radiant golds of sunsets, and the deep navy that gently tucks the clouds good night.
Each segment isolates a fleeting moment; the cool hush of dawn, the steady pulse of midday brightness, the warm crescendo of evening light, and the serene descent into twilight. Through layered textures, minimal abstraction, and delicate tonal transitions, the work mirrors the sky’s natural rhythm, it's cycles of emergence, illumination, and rest.
Rhythm of Clouds invites contemplation of time’s gentle passing, encouraging the viewer to notice the beauty of slow transitions and the quiet harmony unfolding overhead with every shifting hour.
Aqua Reef represents the combination of rocks or the skeletons of small animals that form the ridge of material at or near the surface of the ocean. You can view the colours and twisting of how the coral and animals flow in the ocean currents.

Through its layered composition, the work evokes the energy, harmony, warmth the underlying unsteadiness of inevitable change. Reminding us as the viewer to embrace the moment whether good or bad, they are fleeting.

Ocean Djinn reflects on the myth of jinn that is an invisible spirit believed to inhabit the earth and influence mankind. They are capable of assuming human or animal form and are said to dwell in all conceivable inanimate objects—stones, trees, ruins—and underneath the earth, in the air, and in fire same as a genie. Ocean Djinn is to remind you to believe in the magic in this world but to also warn you to think about your wishes thoroughly as they might not turn how you expected or that you may not have thought about the consequences of your wish.
